Located just two miles from Scenic Route 1 in Stockton Springs, Maine, The Barrens is rooted in a simple mission: to cultivate community, celebrate agriculture, and conserve access to the outdoors by connecting people with Maine's native lowbush wild blueberry barrens. Today, the project is a raw vision and a plot of land we own and actively farm. We are inviting you to help us build it from the ground up.
Our first step comes in 2027, when we open the land to the public for our first U-Pick wild blueberry season. Before the buildings go up, the experience of the land comes first. Every dollar raised through early support, future farm stand sales, and merchandise will help fuel what comes next.
From there, The Barrens will grow into a central farm stand and retail space: a gathering place for fresh produce, art, goods, and community connection. One percent of all farm stand proceeds will go directly to The Barrens Foundation, while the remaining profits will return to the land and help build our flagship experience.
At the heart of that experience will be The Barrens Micro Resort and a private action sports park reserved for overnight guests. Custom cabins will sit among the pines near the central hospitality hub, alongside a 13-acre trail system, a dedicated mountain bike park for all skill levels, and a concrete flow skatepark envisioned as the first Evergreen skatepark built in New England.
The action sports park will remain a private amenity for guests. Once a month, though, we will open our doors to everyone for The Blueberry Jam: a weekend celebration of live music, local art, artisan goods, workshops, and backyard skateboard sessions.
Join us at the beginning. Support the vision, pick wild berries with us in 2027, and help turn these wild barrens into a permanent cultural hub for generations to come.
